The mission of the Alliance for Excellence in Hospice and Palliative Nursing is to be the unified voice of professional membership, certification, research and education to advance quality palliative care for the benefit of the public at large.
2009-2011 Strategic Plan Goals
1) ALLIANCE VISIBLE ACROSS DOMAINS
Strategies:
- Utilize PR Consultant to develop marketing plan for all domains
- Report usage and outcomes of toll free number quarterly
- Target and collaborate with media representatives
- Review and develop health policy guiding principles for purposes of Alliance
- Charge HPNA Public Policy Committee with developing a plan of keeping Alliance Board of Trustees aware of national public policy outcomes
- Evaluate need for increased representation with policymakers
- Identify 2 stakeholders per year to build relationships
2) COLLABORATION
Strategies:
- Alliance recognition of 5 areas of concentration as identified in the White Paper
- Build relationships with at least 2 stakeholders per year
3) ORGANIZATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Strategies:
- Definable structure that places multicorporate leadership in the Alliance with appropriate structure of leadership
4) LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Strategies:
- Explore need and implement as indicated a public member representative
- Assure consistent leadership development across organizations
