Self Assessment Exams are learning tools available as web tests on the internet.

The Registered Nurse Self Assessment Exam (RN SAE) and the Nursing Assistant Self Assessment Exam (NA SAE) are practice tools to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a candidate who is interested in the certification process. The SAE can be used as one of several mechanisms to assist you in your studies, along with the detailed content outlines and reference lists located in the Candidate Handbook, as well as other educational materials available for purchase through the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA). 

The RN SAE cost is $35 and the NA SAE cost is $25.  For every test that is purchased a portion of the cost will be donated to The Alliance for Excellence in Hospice and Palliative Nursing. The Alliance is very appreciative of NBCHPN for establishing this fundraising program with its testing company, Applied Measurement Professionals.

The exam is available on the Applied Measurement Professionals web site, www.goamp.com where the user then chooses “e-Store” and then “Web Tests”.
